Vermont Castings 16 Cell 2.5″ x 13″ x 2″ Canned Catalytic Combustor Part# CC-257 Specification:

Part# CC-257 is the replacement 2.5″ x 13″ x 2″ 16 Cell Catalytic Combustor with a metal band.

This combustor will NOT fit the new Encore and Defiant Flexburn or 2 In 1. They use a 1″ thick combustor.

Vermont Castings has had a challenging history.  Originally based in Vermont, Vermont Castings was purchased by a company called CFM (Canadian Fireplace Manufacturers).  CFM proceeded to ‘restructure’ corporately a few times, and was eventually purchased by a company called HHT.  Because Vermont Castings changed ownership and moved production so many times, not to mention the thousands of replacement parts in their stoves – accessing the correct replacement part on a timely basis is not always easy.
