This is the official OEM replacement baffle blanket part from FPI Fireplace Products International (ie Regency Fireplaces) for Regency and Hampton wood stoves and wood inserts.  The Baffle Blanket Insulation was more common on Regency fireplaces made before 1993.

This is a baffle blanket for many Regency and Hampton wood-burning stoves and wood-burning inserts.  This part is also referred to as bat insulation at times.

Purpose:

Baffle insulation in wood-burning appliances is designed to optimize the airflow for the appliance.  The Regency R6 Manual states: “The Large Stove uses an insulating batt above the baffle.  Make sure that this batt is lying flat and does not obstruct the smoke from getting up the flue opening.  Once the insulation is lying flat, position the two supplied metal bars on top of the materials. This will stop the batt from lifting if excessive chimney draft takes place.”
