Part# 5007497 is the replacement Tie Rod for Vermont Castings wood stoves. Set Includes 4 of each: 25.5″ tie rods, washers, final nuts, and bolts. Fits the following models:

Please note: This is not compatible with the Vigilant II 2310 coal stove. This unit takes kit #5007498 with 19.75″ tie rods.

Vermont Castings has had a challenging history. Originally based in Vermont, Vermont Castings was purchased by a company called CFM (Canadian Fireplace Manufacturers).  CFM proceeded to ‘restructure’ corporately a few times, and was eventually purchased by a company called HHT.  Because Vermont Castings changed ownership and moved production so many times, not to mention the thousands of replacement parts in their stoves – accessing the correct replacement part on a timely basis is not always easy.
