Vermont Castings Touch Up Paint-Sand Part# 0001342 Specification:

Replacement enamel touch up paint-Sand for Vermont Castings wood, coal, and gas stoves.  This is a half-ounce (.5 oz) bottle of touch-up paint. The paint is resistant up to 1200°F/650C°C.  Sand was removed in 2007 and biscuit was added. If your unit is newer than 2007 you may need Biscuit. If you are not sure, please call to confirm.

Vermont Castings has had a challenging history.  Originally based in Vermont, Vermont Castings was purchased by a company called CFM (Canadian Fireplace Manufacturers).  CFM proceeded to ‘restructure’ corporately a few times, and was eventually purchased by a company called HHT.  Because Vermont Castings changed ownership and moved production so many times, not to mention the thousands of replacement parts in their stoves – accessing the correct replacement part on a timely basis is not always easy.
