Part# 5005467 is the replacement Thermostat Assembly for Vermont Castings woodstoves. The handle for this thermostat is straight for ease of assembly. After installation it will need to be bent up 90 degrees to match your old thermostat. Fits the follow models:

Vermont Castings has had a challenging history. Originally based in Vermont, Vermont Castings was purchased by a company called CFM (Canadian Fireplace Manufacturers).  CFM proceeded to ‘restructure’ corporately a few times, and was eventually purchased by a company called HHT.  Because Vermont Castings changed ownership and moved production so many times, not to mention the thousands of replacement parts in their stoves – accessing the correct replacement part on a timely basis is not always easy.
