Vigilant 1400 is the Replacement high grate bar for Vermont Castings wood and coal stoves. Measurements: Overall Length 10 x Width in Middle of Bar 3/4. Sold individually, eight (8) grates required for full replacement. If you need all replaced, you will need to order a quantity of eight (8). Fits the following models:

Vermont Castings has had a challenging history.  Originally based in Vermont, Vermont Castings was purchased by a company called CFM (Canadian Fireplace Manufacturers).  CFM proceeded to ‘restructure’ corporately a few times, and was eventually purchased by a company called HHT.  Because Vermont Castings changed ownership and moved production so many times, not to mention the thousands of replacement parts in their stoves – accessing the correct replacement part on a timely basis is not always easy. New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging is applicable).
